groups.google.com is another amazing archive of our Internet history.

I was a kean.ucs.mun.ca guy in '92. All my embarrassing early Internet history is still out there, preserved for future generations (for now).

Your theme song has a somewhat Charlie Brown / Peanuts Charles M. Schulz vibe to it, or at least that's what it first recalled from my memory:

Hey Colin! Yep my groups posting is there too and totally forgot to mention the groups archive so thank you!

I was sort of trying to emulate and early eighties late seventies vibe so I’m glad it worked (it’s also the first anything I’ve ever composed put publicly so errrr yeah won’t be giving up my day job ;)

I posted a note about this and a thanks to you for the reminder of the existence of the usenet archives on the next episode (number 13)

I need to know who that Comp Sci person was in the early 90's that thought Gopher was the future and Mosaic a fad! :-)

I can’t I really can’t. I don’t think they remember the conversation now I wouldn’t want them to feel bad. I’ve been plenty wrong in prognostications. I just remember this conversation so well

I remember vividly the first time I compiled and ran Mosaic. It was a transformative event. Similar to the first time dialing into a BBS, first time getting SLIP/PPP dialup for Internet access, first time using AI - a memorable shift from past to future.

Well done. I enjoyed it. The production is really quite good.
